Invoicing and the Xero export

Raise, send and track invoices; get them into your accounting platform without retyping.

Video walkthrough coming soon. The written steps below cover everything.
  1. Open Invoicing in the top bar. The tiles show outstanding, overdue, drafts and paid this month.
  2. Choose your invoice basis in Settings > Practice > Invoicing: Manual (raise them yourself, or just track invoices you raise elsewhere), Draft on approval, or Draft on release.
  3. Raise an invoice with + New invoice and pick the job: the fee, client and reference flow in from the job. Edit the amount while it is a draft.
  4. Add your GST number, payment terms and bank account line in Settings; documents then print as TAX INVOICE with GST shown.
  5. Email sends the invoice with a download link and flips a draft to sent; Mark paid when the money lands.
  6. Export for Xero downloads a CSV in Xero’s own sales invoice import format: in Xero, Business > Invoices > Import.
Note. Valorem is deliberately the thin layer: reconciliation, statements and debtors stay in your accounting platform.
